Period Without Necessity To Re-Test In View of Child Support Arrearage
Suspension
If a CDL Holder has his or her license suspended for failure to pay child support payments, that
CDL Holder shall have a period of twenty-four (24) months from the date of the license
suspension, as noticed by the Department of Public Safety, in order to obtain reinstatement of the
CDL without the necessity to re-take their commercial driving test. If more than 24 months have
elapsed since the date of the suspension of the license, it will be necessary that the individual
successfully complete their commercial driving test in order to re-obtain their CDL.
