Overview of the Mississippi Sex Offender Registry
The Mississippi Department of Public Safety maintains a central registry known requirements of
the Jacob Wetterling Crimes Against Children and Sexually Violent Offender Registration Act
and the Mississippi Sex Offender Registration Law (Miss. Code Ann. § 45-33-21, et seq.). The
Registry maintains information on sex offenders that are required to register in the state of
Mississippi pursuant to this law.
