International Building Codes

International Building Codes. The District adopts the 2015 International Building
CodeĀ®, the 2015 International Residential Building CodeĀ®, the 2015 International Plumbing
CodeĀ®, the 2015 International Property Maintenance CodeĀ®, the 2015 International Mechanical
CodeĀ®, the NFP 70, the 2015 International Energy Conservation CodeĀ®, the 2015 International
Swimming Pool & Spa CodeĀ®, the 2015 International Fuel & Gas CodesĀ®, and the 2014
National Electrical CodeĀ® (the "Codes") as regulations of the District. With regard to Section
101.1 in the above listed codes, āname of jurisdictionā shall be replaced with āPearl River Valley
Water Supply District, an agency of the State of Mississippi.ā A copy of the Codes shall be
maintained at all times in the office of the District's Building Inspector.
The following additions, deletions, and modifications shall be incorporated with the adoption of
the International Building Code, 2015 Edition:
A.
Section R107 Submittal Documents:
To the end of Section R107.1, add āall foundation plans must be stamped and signed by a
design professional.ā
B.
Section R111 Certificate of Occupancy: Section R111.2, delete #11.
The following additions, deletions, and modifications shall be incorporated with the adoption of
the International Residential Code:
A.
Section R105 Permits:
Section R105.2 ā Work Exempt from Permit, delete #2 and #3.
B.
Section R106 Construction Documents:
Add to the end of Section R106.1, āAll foundation plans must be stamped and signed by a design
professional.
C.
Section R110 Certificate of Occupancy:
Section R110.3 ā Certificate Issued, delete #8
D.
Section P2904 ā Dwelling Unit Fire Sprinklers:
Delete entire section.

E.
Section R303 ā Light, Ventilation, and Heating:
Section R303.3 ā Bathrooms, Exception:
Add āor to a ventilated attic.ā
The fees for activities and services performed by the Building Inspector or his staff in carrying
out the responsibilities under this code shall be as indicated, from time to time, by the Board of
Directors of the District and contained in its official public minutes.
The term "code official" as used herein shall mean the District's Building Inspector.
Anyone aggrieved by any action or decision of the Building Inspector or a notice or order issued
under this code shall have the right to obtain a Declaratory Opinion pursuant to Part 201, Chapter
4 of the District's regulations.
"Owner" shall mean any person, agent, operator, firm, trust or other legal or equitable
organization having a legal or equitable interest in the property; or recorded in the official
records of the state, county or District office as holding leasehold title to the property; or
otherwise having control of the property, including the guardian of the estate of any such person,
and the executor or administrator of the estate of such person. The term shall not include the
District, the fee owner and lessor of all of the property.
