CSBG is authorized by the Community Services Block Grant Act (under Title XXVI of the
Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1981, as amended.)
A. Statute- Sections of the CSBG Act are listed below as amended. The CSBG Act is
codified the United States Code at: 42 U.S.C. §9901.
B. Regulations- The HHS regulations for the CSBG Act are found in Title 45 (Public
Welfare) of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 96 (Block Grants).
