Risk-based system for use in ranking high hazard dams to establish priority In its selection of projects to which award grants, subject to available funds, MDEQ shall rank and prioritize applications for Dam Safety Grants based on the potential to reduce risk to downstream lives and property in the event that the dam were to fail. Additional studies and information related to the condition of the dam will also be considered by MDEQ in ranking and prioritizing applications for Dam Safety Grants.
