Register of Lands Designated as Unsuitable for Surface Mining

Register of Lands Designated as Unsuitable for Surface Mining The Department shall maintain and have available for public inspection in its office a register of all areas that have been designated as unsuitable for all or certain types of surface mining operations. This register shall include all areas for which petitions to have an area designated as unsuitable for surface mining have been submitted. The register will be in such a form that the locations of the lands may be readily identified; it will also contain all necessary information explaining the reasons why the land was designated as unsuitable for surface mining.
