Identification and Management of Transfers: The program shall maintain prearranged relationships for immediate consultation and patient relocation. The program shall maintain documented mechanisms to facilitate and accept maternal transfers/transports. All designated facilities will agree to provide service to the maternal patient regardless of their ability to pay. Written agreements should be in place for the transfer of perinatal patient.
