Standard Deduction. A. The standard deduction for household sizes one to six is equal to 8.31 percent of the monthly net income eligibility standard rounded up to the nearest whole dollar. B. For households greater than six, the standard deduction is equal to the standard deduction for a six-person household. C. This is the calculation used to determine the minimum standard deduction for the 48 States and D.C., Alaska, Hawaii, Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands. D. The standard deduction for all household sizes is posted annually on FNS’ website.
