Elderly and Disabled Persons. An individual and spouse living together may be a separate household even if they purchase and prepare meals with others if all of the following are true: A. One of them is sixty (60) years or older; B. That person cannot purchase and prepare meals because of: 1. A disability considered permanent by SSA, or 2. Another permanent physical or mental non-disease related disability; and C. The gross monthly income for the number of others in the household does not exceed 165% of the federal poverty level.
