Garnishment/Levies Garnishment/levies are court ordered recoupment of a debt owed by a provider to a third party. When MDHS receives notice of a garnishment or levy action against a child care provider, MDHS must submit payment to the garnishing party until the provider’s debt has been paid in full, or until a Notice of Release has been received. The provider must contact the garnishing party to dispute the action or make alternate payment arrangements.
