Statewide Monitoring Plan – MDCPS will monitor the provision of language

Statewide Monitoring Plan – MDCPS will monitor the provision of language assistance services to LEP persons, including, but not limited to, assessment of changes in demographics, types of services, and effectiveness of policies and procedures. MDCPS will also monitor the provision of language assistance services to LEP persons through the use of site visits at least two (2) times each year, which site visits should include review of an LEP person’s case records, assessment of MDCPS staff and contractors’ knowledge of language assistance polices and procedures, review of availability and accuracy of lists of interpreters, bilingual staff and other resources, and other information as mandated by MDCPS policies and procedures.
