Premature Discharge – The Partner Provider may not discharge youth prematurely

Premature Discharge – The Partner Provider may not discharge youth prematurely without providing MDCPS with 14 calendar days’ notice, in writing by a fully licensed mental health professional (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Psychologist, Psychiatrist). The Partner Provider shall assist with ensuring appropriate assessments and/or evaluations are completed to determine the level of care needed for the youth and/or if the youth may be safely maintained in the setting with additional supports provided.
