Court Ordered Non-Licensed Placement – All non-licensed placements are court- ordered. However, the Agency will make every attempt to license an unlicensed expedited placement. If a court orders a child into a specific unlicensed placement that cannot meet MDCPS licensing standards, MDCPS will notify the court that the foster home has not met licensing standards and explain the reasons why the foster home has not, and cannot, meet licensing standards. MDCPS will further notify the court if there is another appropriate expedited relative placement.
