Miss. Code Ann. § 13-1-307

The duties of the interpreter may include: (a) Interpreting during court and court-related proceedings, including any and all meetings and conferences between client and his attorney; (b) Translating or interpreting documents; (c) Assisting in taking depositions; (d) Assisting in administering oaths; and (e) Such other duties as may be required by the judge of the court making the appointment.
