Rosendale, Sr. Date: June 29, 2018 Re: Bulletin from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services' – Insurance Standards Bulletin Series -- INFORMATION - Extension of Transitional Policy through 2019, dated April 9, 2018 NON-GRANDFATHERED/TRANSITIONAL POLICY On April 9, 2018, CMS issued a bulletin which “extends the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CMS) transitional policy to policy years beginning on or before October1, 2019, provided that all such policies end by December 31, 2019.” (Bulletin) The Montana Commissioner of Securities and Insurance hereby adopts the CMS transitional policy for individual and small group policies for 2019. Health insurance issuers must be in compliance with the requirements and terms of the Bulletin.
