ARM 10.54.3032. BENCHMARK FOR READING CONTENT STANDARD 3 FOR END OF GRADE 8

(1) The benchmark for reading content standard 3 for a student at the end of grade 8 is the ability to: (a) articulate and evaluate strategies to self-monitor reading progress, overcome reading difficulties, and seek guidance as needed; (b) monitor reading successes and set reading goals; and (c) select authors, subjects, and print and nonprint material, expressing reasons for recommendations.
