(1) Subsection 37-13-302 (2) (c) , MCA, means that the applicant for licensure as an acupuncturist must establish one of the following: (a) that the applicant has graduated from a school approved by the National Accreditation Commission for Schools and Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NACSCAOM) and that the school offers a curriculum of at least 1000 hours of entry-level training in recognized branches of acupuncture; or (b) that the applicant has attended a school which, although the school may not be approved by NACSCAOM, offers a curriculum which is the equivalent of a 1000 hour course of entry-level training in recognized branches of acupuncture, and thereby merits the board's approval as a basis for licensure.
