2.43.408 CALCULATION OF SERVICE CREDIT ON TERMINATION OF EMPLOYMENT (1) A member terminating employment shall not be granted service credit for lump sum payments of severance pay, including vacation, sick, or compensatory leave. (2) A member who receives compensation in a month after termination of employment may elect to receive appropriate service credit for that month. No member can receive both service credit and a retirement benefit for the same month.
