(1) Staff providing program design and monitoring (PDM) must have a family support specialist certification with an autism endorsement or be a Board Certified Behavioral Analyst. (2) Staff providing PDM shall provide the following services: (a) develop and monitor the implementation of formal and informal training methods and provide training specific to the formal training plan and the informal interaction techniques used by the children's autism trainer, family members and others who work with or interact with the child; and (b) provide general assistance and support to individuals who provide unpaid support, training, companionship or supervision to the child.
