(1) An HMO must have in effect an internal quality assurance system as specified in the contract. (2) An internal quality assurance system must meet the requirements of 42 CFR 434.34. The department hereby adopts and incorporates by reference 42 CFR 434.34, dated October 1998. (a) Copies of 42 CFR 434.34 may be obtained through the Department of Public Health and Human Services, Health Policy and Services Division, 1400 Broadway, P.O. Box 202951, Helena, MT 59620-2951.
