ARM 38.3.104. "CONTRACT" VS. "COMMON" CARRIER

(1) A "contract" carrier is one who hauls for six or less than six shippers under contract or special agreement. (2) A "common" carrier is one who holds himself out to serve all the general public for business at regular rates and charges filed with this commission. (3) A "contract" carrier may convert to a "common" carrier only through proper application and opportunity for hearing as provided in 69-12-312 and 69-12-321, MCA.
