(1) For purposes of this rule, "receipt" has its common meaning and also includes a bill of lading, trip ticket, log sheet, and like documents or records evidencing a transportation movement. (2) When a commission-regulated motor carrier provides a receipt to a shipper or a passenger or maintains a receipt for its own records, whether required by law to do so or does so as a matter of policy, the receipt shall include sufficient information that the commission can readily determine that charges are in accordance with the motor carrier's tariffs, if applicable, and that the movement is within the scope of the motor carrier's authority.
