20-6-624 . School building plans and specifications approval before payment. (1) The trustees of a district may not make any payment under a contract for the construction of school facilities until the plans and specifications for the construction have been approved under the provisions of 20-6-622 . (2) A contractor, architect, trustee, or any other person, firm, or corporation who violates the provisions of 20-6-622 , this section, or any regulation promulgated by the department of public health and human services or the department of justice is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be punished by a fine of not less than $100 or more than $500.
