North Carolina Department of Insurance Mike Causey, Commissioner BULLETIN Number 20-B-01 TO: ALL PROPERTY & CASUALTY INSURERS WRITING HOMEOWNERS INSURANCE COVERAGE IN NORTH CAROLINA FROM: PROPERTY AND CASUALTY DIVISION DATE: JANUARY 21, 2020 SUBJECT: 2019 NCIUA MEMBER COMPANY ANNUAL HOMEOWNERS REPORT The purpose of this bulletin is to inform your company of the annual Homeowners reporting requirements called for under NCGS §58-45-71. Each member company of the North Carolina Insurance Underwriting Association is required to report annually to the Commissioner information with regard to their residential property policy writings in the beach and coastal areas. Only companies that have data to report must complete this data call. The Data Call developed by the North Carolina Department of Insurance (NCDOI) is required by the aforementioned statute to be submitted to the NCDOI no later than February 1, 2020. However, for those companies whose data is not available for submission by the statutory deadline, NCDOI will accept submission of data by March 15, 2020. Any company that has not submitted data by March 15, 2020 will be out of compliance and may be subject to regulatory penalties.
