09 NCAC 06B .0204. ARTICLES FOR SPECIAL PURPOSES

Where articles are to be used: (1) for educational or training purposes; (2) by persons with disabilities; (3) for test and evaluation or research purposes; or (4) for any other special purpose deemed necessary by the State CIO, consideration may be given to the suitability of such articles in the preparation of procurement documents, including solicitation specifications, evaluation of offers, requests for limited or waiver of competition, and the final award of contracts. The State CIO shall consult with the purchasing agency prior to making modification of any information or recommendation submitted by that agency.
