12 NCAC 10B .0404. GENERAL CERTIFICATION (effective until june 30, 2024)

(a) The Commission shall grant an officer general certification if evidence is received by the Division that the officer has: (1) complied with all of the requirements of 12 NCAC 10B .0300; and (2) successfully completed the required training within the probationary period. (b) General certification is continuous from the date of issuance if: (1) The certified officer remains continuously employed or appointed as an officer in good standing with an agency and the certification has not been terminated for cause; or (2) The certified officer, having separated in good standing from an agency, is reemployed or reappointed as a justice officer within one year, and the certification has not been terminated for cause.
