§ 14-50.19. Intimidation to deter from gang withdrawal. (a) It is unlawful for any person to communicate a threat of injury to a person, or to damage the property of another, with the intent to deter a person from assisting another to withdraw from membership in a criminal gang. (a1) It is unlawful for any person to injure a person with the intent to deter a person from assisting another to withdraw from membership in a criminal gang. (b) A violation of subsection (a) of this section is a Class G felony. A violation of subsection (a1) of this section is a Class F felony.
