OPINION 49-182 April 21, 1949 (OPINION) TAXATION RE: Medical Center - University Re: Constitutional Amendment for 1-mill Levy for Medical Center It is the opinion of this office that the constitutional amendment proposed by Chapter 119 of the Laws of 1947, and adopted by the people at the 1948 general election, provides for a one-mill levy for the purposes therein set forth, which one-mill levy is to be made entirely irrespective of section 174 of the Constitution, as amended, and is to be levied in addition to the levy permitted by said section as amended.
