Amateur contests

The regulation of an amateur event must follow all these rules with the following modifications:
1.
The contestant has never received remuneration directly or indirectly as consideration for the
participant's performance in a mixed fighting style competition, boxing, kickboxing, or any
other combative sport.
2.
The match may not exceed a maximum of five rounds with a maximum of three minutes in
each round with a one minute rest period between rounds.
3.
Contestants may not make elbow strikes or use knees to contact with the head of the
opponent.
