Dismissal of an ombudsman

Any ombudsman may be dismissed if the ombudsman: 1. Fails to perform ombudsman services in a manner consistent with the program's policies and procedures; 2. Fails to maintain confidentiality; 3. Fails to report abuse, neglect, or exploitation of a long-term care resident if a report is requested by the resident or legal representative, or is required by law; or 4. Communicates a known false statement.
