Criminal history background checks

The department may perform criminal history background checks on any applicant requesting a
certification or license or an individual requesting to be listed on an ambulance service or quick
response unit's roster as a driver. A driver may be denied participation in any emergency medical
services operation based on the driver's criminal background history or any occurrence listed in section
33-36-01-05.
