11-19.1-07.1. Willful disturbance of dead body - Penalty Any person who: 1. Willfully removes or otherwise disturbs a body which the actor knows died in a suspicious or unusual manner; or 2. Willfully rearranges, removes, or otherwise disturbs the clothing or other articles on or near a body which the actor knows died in a suspicious or unusual manner, without authorization of a coroner or law enforcement officer is guilty of a class A misdemeanor.
