36-01-16. Disposal of carcass of diseased animal The owner or keeper of any animal killed by order of the state board of animal health, the state veterinarian, or by an agent or representative of the state board of animal health, shall dispose of the carcass of the animal in the manner prescribed by the board or the state veterinarian. If the owner or keeper of an animal killed pursuant to an order is unknown, the carcass must be disposed of at the expense of the county in which the carcass is located.
