39-01-12. Mailing notice to defendant upon service of nonresident motor vehicle user Within ten days after service of summons as provided in section 39-01-11, notice of such service together with a copy of the summons and complaint in the action must be sent by the plaintiff to the defendant at the defendant's last-known address by registered or certified mail with return receipt requested, and proof of such mailing must be attached to the summons.
