39-27-02. Manufacturer's or distributor's certification 1. The manufacturer or distributor shall provide a certification of the fact that a motorcycle or class of motorcycles is designed and manufactured for use upon public highways and complies with the performance and equipment requirements of this chapter and the rules and regulations promulgated hereunder. 2. The certificate must be incorporated on the manufacturer's statement of origin upon transfer of vehicle ownership.
