50-12-01. Definitions
50-12-01. Definitions
As used in this chapter, unless the context or subject matter otherwise requires:
1. "Child-placing agency" means any person undertaking to place children in family
homes for temporary or permanent care.
2. "Placement" means the transfer of physical custody of a child from a birth parent for
foster or adoptive care until an adoption is finalized.
