15-39.1-27. Computation of years of service In computing the terms of service of a member under this chapter, a member employed full time who receives compensation for at least seven hundred hours in a fiscal year earns one year of service. A member who receives compensation for less than seven hundred hours of service earns fractional credit equal to the number of compensated hours worked in a fiscal year divided by seven hundred hours. A member may not earn more than one year of service in a fiscal year.
