# STATE OF NEBRASKA DEPARTMENT OF INSURANCE Timothy J. Hall Director January 4, 1999 CB-4 (Amended) [LOGO] E. Benjamin Nelson Governor ## BULLETIN SUBJECT: MOTORCYCLE LIABILITY INSURANCE FOR PASSENGERS The practice of excluding liability coverage for passengers on motorcycles has come under study by the Nebraska Department of Insurance. In view of our statutes requiring minimums of $25,000 per person and $50,000 per accident in the event the vehicle owner or operator is liable, it is not in the public interest to allow a passenger exclusion on motorcycle policies.
