New Hampshire Insurance Department Informational Notice May 5, 2003 Docket No.: INS NO. 03-018-IN Pawtucket Mutual Insurance Company (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) was placed in rehabilitation by Order of the Providence County Superior Court of the State of Rhode Island at the request of the State of Rhode Island, Division of Insurance, Department of Business Regulation on Friday May 2, 2003. Although “the Company” did not write any new business in New Hampshire after July 1, 2002, it has been issuing renewal policies. In New Hampshire “the Company” wrote $15M in premium in 2002 ($4.5M in homeowners and $10.5M in auto) and a total of $3.1M in the 1st Quarter of 2003. At the moment it is expected that “the Company” will not be renewing any business after June 30, 2003. Coverage in “the Company” will have to be replaced in other markets after that date.
