The Department is well aware that the hurricanes have disrupted the businesses and the lives of many of our licensees, destroying records and uprooting licensees. The Department has already received inquiries from some licensees asking if any accommodations can be made regarding license renewals. The Department is sympathetic to the problems facing these licensees. We invite any licensee affected by these storms to contact the Department. Within the bounds of the Department's discretion, we will attempt to accommodate and address special needs on a case-by-case basis. If you are contacting the Department by mail please include all relevant information pertaining to your special circumstances and mail your request(s) to the appropriate licensing unit(s) found below: Insurance Producer Licensees: Licensees in affected areas with licenses expiring October 31, 2005, should contact the Department if they have not received renewal notification or to discuss special circumstances including the need for late renewal.
