Last amended: 2003Year: 2003Length: 69 wordsOfficial source
An expert witness is a witness who, by knowledge, skill, experience, training or education, has become expert in any subject. An expert witness may be permitted to state an opinion as to that subject. You should consider each expert opinion and the reasons stated for the opinion, giving them such weight as you think they deserve. You may reject an opinion entirely if you conclude that it is unsound.
