THIS BULLETIN
is issued pursuant to NMSA 1978, ยง 59A-18-33 and in accordance with OSI
Bulletin 2019-015.
NMSA 1978, el 59A-18-33 requires the New Mexico Office of Superintendent of
Insurance ("OSI") to issue a bulletin notifying residential property
insurers
of any
unfavorable change in a community's
public protection classification,
community
grading,
building code effectiveness classification,
or fire suppression rating schedule. Upon
receiving
such notice, every insurer of a residential property in the designated community shall, in nun,
notify any of its customers who may be adversely impacted by the unfavorable change within
90 days of publication
of a bulletin.
This Bulletin serves as notice that there has been an unfavorable change to the Public
Protection Classification
("PPC") for the village of Mosquero, which is located in Harding
and San Miguel Counties, New Mexico. According to Insurance Sersrices
Organization
("ISO"), a rating/advisory
organization, the unfavorable change is based on these facts and
circum'stances.
Lack of records at the Mosquero Fire Department for personnel response to first
alarm structure fires; lack of training records; and limited pump testing for engine
companies.
As a result of these deficiencies, ISO has classified the community as PPC 7/7X,
effective May 1, 2021.
