Scope

This code of ethics regulates the ethical and professional conduct of: A. all licensed and registered individuals; B. all applicants for licensure or registration; C. registered and licensed mental health counselors, substance abuse trainees and supervisors during their education, practicum and post-graduate training; and D. expert witnesses: it applies to all licensed or registered individuals, in direct contact with clients, as well as during education, training, testifying as an expert witness and research endeavors.
