Licensure by credentials. (Repealed effective July 1,

2030.) After successful completion of a jurisprudence examination, the board may license an applicant as a funeral service practitioner, funeral arranger or embalmer; provided the applicant possesses a valid license or its equivalent for the practice of funeral service issued by the appropriate examining board under the laws of any other state or territory of the United States, the District of Columbia or any foreign nation, and provided the applicant presents proof that the applicant is currently licensed in good standing in a jurisdiction that has standards for licensure that are at least equal to those for licensure in New Mexico as required by the Funeral Services Act.
