N.M. Stat. § 6-10-47
[Safekeeping and insurance of money and securities in
state treasury; payment of cost.]
The state board of finance shall have power to contract for the safekeeping and
insurance of all monies or securities in the state treasury, the cost of such safekeeping
and insurance to be paid out of the interest on deposit fund upon warrants drawn by the
state auditor.
