N.M. Stat. § 70-3A-7
Abandonment of easement.
When an easement is acquired pursuant to the Gathering Line Land Acquisition Act
and the use for which the easement is acquired is subsequently abandoned, the
easement is extinguished and the property interest reverts to the landowner or his
successor in interest of the fee, free from any rights in the mineral developer.
