N.M. Stat. § 24-13-8
[District attorneys to enforce burial act.]
The various district attorneys of this state are hereby expressly empowered and
directed to enforce the provisions of this act [24-13-1 to 24-13-8 NMSA 1978] on behalf
of the various counties which they represent.
