§ 30-22-23. Assault with intent to commit violent felony upon peace officer

A. Assault with intent to commit a violent felony upon a peace officer consists of any person assaulting a peace officer while he is in the lawful discharge of his duties with intent to kill the peace officer. B. Whoever commits assault with intent to commit a violent felony upon a peace officer is guilty of a second degree felony.
