Senate Bill (SB) 481 of the 2019 Nevada Legislature section 7 subsection 3, which was signed by the Governor on May 29, 2019, requires a notice be included on a carrier's enrollment website and printed enrollment information. The notice must contain the following statement: You can also enroll in a health insurance plan for you and your family through the Silver State Health Insurance Exchange (Nevada's state-based health insurance exchange). The Silver State Health Insurance Exchange allows you to get quotes from different insurance companies that are available on the Exchange. You can compare different plans, get quotes and find out if you qualify for financial assistance. The Silver State Health Insurance Exchange is the only way to receive financial assistance for your health insurance. You can enroll online by visiting www.nevadahealthlink.com or by calling 855-768-5465. The contact information for the Silver State Health Exchange has changed since SB481 was originally drafted. The Silver State Health Exchange's new telephone number is 1-800-547-2927 TTY 711. As such, the last line of the statement, required under SB 481 should read: "You can enroll online by visiting www.nevadahealthlink.com or by calling 1-800-547-2927 TTY 711." BARBARA D.
