Properly equipped facility required; qualifications of auxiliary personnel.

1. A dentist using general anesthesia, deep sedation or moderate sedation shall maintain a properly equipped facility for the administration of the anesthesia or sedation which is staffed with supervised auxiliary personnel who are capable of reasonably handling procedures, problems and emergencies incident thereto. 2. A dentist using general anesthesia, deep sedation or moderate sedation shall ensure that his or her auxiliary personnel are certified in basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation by the American Heart Association or a course providing similar instruction approved by the Board.
